What is Duchenne Myopathy?
It is a disease that most often affects boys due to a mutation in the gene for the protein dystrophin, which is vital for all muscles. Without this protein, muscles gradually weaken and stop working.

During an examination at the Medcare clinic (Dubai), the antibody test showed a positive result. Bohdan was approved for treatment with an innovative gene therapy drug – Elevidys . This drug is able to stop the progression of the disease and give Bohdan a chance to move and live a full life.

Duchenne muscular dystrophy progresses extremely quickly, and Bohdan's muscles are getting weaker every day. The only thing that can help is an urgent injection of the drug while he can still walk and move independently!
